The non-profit Pikes Peak Range Riders Foundation (Latigo) was formed in 1999 to allow the Pikes Peak Range Riders to focus their charitable community activities. In 2001, the Foundation accepted the generous contribution of the land and facilities of Latigo from a few individual Range Rider benefactors.

In 2009, the Foundation Board clarified the mission to promote western heritage through youth events and activities. In keeping with our vision, to instill the core values of the Cowboy Way in the youth of our community, we have actively partnered with and supported the High School Rodeo, Colorado Jr. Rodeo Association, 4-H, Pikes Peak Rangerettes, Little Britches Youth Association, and the Boys & Girls Club. We believe these organizations have become valued partners over the years because of this vision.

We also support several other local western-focused organizations including the Special Rodeo, the Western Street Breakfast, Pikes Peak Posse, StableStrides, and many more. StableStrides, formerly known as The Pikes Peak Therapeutic Riding Center, operates from Latigo. The 45-acre site offers horse boarding, riding facilities, retail space and leases space for a variety of events.
